There’s nothing better than going out for a couple of libations on a Friday night knowing that regardless of how much ethanol ends up in your blood stream (or who you go home with), you won’t have to wake to the blaring cacophony of your week day alarm.   Who you wake up next to on the other hand, well, that’s a whole other problem.  Introducing, “Let’s Get Sauced,” highlighting our favorite cocktail, brewski, or bar of the moment.  We know what we’ll be drinking this weekend.  Do you?

Forget Belgian chocolates, it’s the country’s varietal, charismatic beers that will make you want to jump on the next flight to Brussels.  At downtown’s Little Bear, start with one of the wonders on tap – perhaps a tulip of Monkish Rosa Hips, a layered dubbel, or the Victory Golden Monkey, echoing with fruit and malt.  Then admire the extensive bottle list, from trappists to lambics to saisons, a thoughtful collection you couldn’t find at any other beer bar in the city.  99 bottles of Belgian beer on the wall?  And just like that, downtown became even hipper.
